Almond oil is derived from dried kernels of the almond tree. The rejuvenating and emollient qualities improve the condition of chapped hands and inflammation of the skin because of its capacity to soothe the skin. Almond oil naturally contains occurring vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and vitamin E and is very high in mono polyunsaturated fatty acids. Since one of the effects of tanning beds is to dry out the skin, almond oil is frequently used in sunless tanning lotions to keep skin moisturized and supple and to minimize skin damage.
